How exciting - I'm the featured blogger this week at Parajunkee! The Feature & Follow is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read. It's a great way to get new blog followers!
This week's question:
Good question. I usually choose books that have been sent to me for review or books that I have signed up to review through a blog tour or NetGalley. Of course, that leaves tons of books on my shelves that I have bought but haven't had a chance to get to yet! Lately, I've had to become pickier on what I sign up for. There are just so many great sounding books out there and it's all so tempting!
Hopping through. I've gotten out of the habit of netgalley. I need to look at it more. So many good ARCs.

That pretty much sums up my answer too. :-D I'm restricting my requests too these days as my TBR is massive at the moment! Congrats on the feature. New follower.
ReplyDeleteLove your answer!! I read quite a bit of ARC's too, but I do leave room for others books as well.
ReplyDeleteRenee@ Addicted To Romance
Netgalley is ridiculously tempting! I always tell myself not to request any more as I have a pile to get through and then something amazing sounding is added. I will catch up one day! haha
ReplyDeleteIt is soooo hard! I give my review books and ARCs priority because they are ones I want to read. But then I keep looking at my TBR Mountain of Doom filled with all the other books I want to read! It's soooo hard!

Have a GREAT day!

I haven't tried NetGalley yet. Like you, I have so many books on my TBR list already!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on being the featured blogger this week!!
ReplyDeleteI'm very much a mood reader, and like you I've had to become picky on Netgalley and the books I accept for review. I'd like to be able to read the books I own too ;)

This is pretty much why I stopped using net galley - I could get so many books that I really wanted to read either from my bookshop or the library that I didn't want to spend time reviewing books I wasn't 100% interested in from NetGalley or author requests.

Congrats on being featured this week! Definitely I agree I have to be picky about what I request and what I accept to read. Too many books and not enough time!

Holly @ Words Fueled by Love
Way too many books out there! I'm overwhelmed usually with trying to figure out what to read.
ReplyDeleteNew GFC follower. Happy Weekend!
I agree. There are always too many books that sound amazing and I never have time for them all.

Great answer! I agree, there are so many awesome sounding books. I also decide based on ARCs and E-gallys that I have then I move on to my bookshelf. But I can also be a mood reader, so sometimes I decide based on what I am in the mood for.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being a Featured Blogger this week!!!

Good answer, I am sort of a mood reader but I do try and get my review books in when I am suppose to but it doesn't always work. :)

ReplyDeleteI need to start getting pickier about how many books I request on NetGalley, I'm so bad about that and find I have WAY too many books to read & can never get to my "purchased" books LOL Congrats on being a Featured Blogger this week, I LOVE your blog and the colors!!

You sound a lot less picky, when it comes to choosing books than me :D which is a really good thing!! I pick based on bio and whether I know I will read it all.
ReplyDeleteNew goodreads follower :D

Congrats on the feature, Tishia! That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteI've been in an extreme NetGalley and ARC slump. I'm just not exactly interested in the books that are coming my way! I've decided to become a lot pickier, too!
Here's my FF!
