Feature & Follow Friday

This week's question:
Have you ever read a book you thought you’d hate but loved? Or vice versa?

This one's kind of hard for me to answer. I don't read books that I think I will hate. There are plenty of books that have disappointed me, but hate is such a strong word. I thought I would love Confess by Colleen Hoover - but I didn't. I didn't hate it though. It was just OK for me.

    I haven't read any of Colleen Hoover books, but hopefully my first book won't be bad. I've learned never to trust a hype.

      I have loved all of Colleen Hoover's other books! Slammed and Maybe Someday were my favorites!

    Yeah I am starting to regret using the word "hate" I guess I meant like you didn't think you would like it at all, but circumstances led you to reading it anyway. Like with my first pick. I was so sure I wouldn't like it, but then my online pals told me it wasn't like I was thinking, it was really really good. So peer pressure from around the world (LOL) had me buying that book and reading it anyway. And I did end up loving it!

    Hate is a strong word, and there has only ever been one book that I can truly use that word for, otherwise I've either thought books were OK or loved them.

    I've heard soooooo many good things about Colleen Hoover - it's quite nice to see that some of her novels are a little underwhelming too!

    I try not to say i hate books, but there was one I was reviewing for a newspaper (The Last Word) and I just could not stand it. I managed to finish if I didn't have a deadline I would not have finished it.
