This week's question:
How did you come up with your blog title and address? Does it have a special meaning for you?
I've had a blog the past 4 years called Paranormal Opinion. When I started that blog, I was only reading paranormal romances. Now though, I don't read paranormal books near as much as I used to. I didn't want anyone getting the wrong idea about my blog. I didn't want to miss out on potential contemporary romance review requests, or turn off readers who dislike paranormal books - just because my name suggested that I was only into paranormal stuff... Make sense? I didn't want to change my name too much though, so I just swapped out the "paranormal" to "paperback" - and here we are. However, now that I have started a new blog - I am also starting all over on followers. It's tough getting my new blog out there.
My blog name wasn't my first choice, and once I got my blog going I was really tempted to switch everything over to the name I initially wanted, but I chickened out because of the whole aspect of starting from scratch and having to regain followers, so I totally give you props for making that leap. I think your blog name is pretty cool though - straight forward, relevant, and easy to remember.

It's not easy to start over so congrats on taking that plunge. It is hard when our reading choices no longer follow our blog title - hope for the best? or start over? I do like your blog's name now - I know exactly what I'm going to find when I visit.

I like your blog name, and understand your dilemma about "paranormal". I didn't want a genre-specific blog name either.

I understand what you mean about getting your new blog back out there. I'm trying to do the same thing. It can be really hard sometimes, but I like your new name!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I'm adding your blog to my blog roll. Maybe that will help you a little.
